Reservation Deposit Policy

1. Purpose of the Reservation Deposit

The reservation deposit secures a specific kitten or a priority spot on our waiting list. Once the deposit is received, the chosen kitten will be held exclusively for the buyer, and the seller will stop accepting other inquiries for the same kitten.

2. Non-Refundable Policy

All reservation deposits are strictly non-refundable. This policy aligns with standard practices in reputable catteries and is essential to ensure that kittens are reserved only by committed adopters.

3. Buyer-Initiated Cancellation

If the buyer chooses to cancel the reservation for any reason, including but not limited to:

• Change of mind
• Personal schedule conflicts
• Financial circumstances
• Preference change regarding kitten gender, color, or coat length

the deposit will not be refunded, and the reservation will be released to other potential adopters.

4. Situations Where a Refund or Transfer May Be Considered

A refund, partial refund, or transfer of deposit may be considered only at the cattery’s sole discretion, and only under the following circumstances:

• Breeder cancellation: If the cattery is unable to provide the kitten due to internal reasons.
• Kitten develops a serious or unresolvable health issue before pickup.
• Verified medical emergency on the buyer’s side (case-by-case assessment; may result in deposit credit instead of refund).

Any exceptions are rare and are not guaranteed.

5. Transfer of Deposit (If Approved)

If the cattery allows a deposit transfer, the buyer may apply the deposit toward:

• A future litter
• Another available kitten

Applicable only once and subject to availability and approval.

6. Payment of Remaining Balance

The remaining balance is due at kitten pickup (or before transport arrangements). The deposit will be deducted from the total adoption fee.

7. Peak Season / High-Demand Periods

During peak periods (e.g., holidays, summer, breeding season):

• Policies are stricter
• Deposits remain non-refundable under all circumstances
• Reservation changes may not be accepted

8. Agreement Acknowledgment

By submitting the reservation deposit, the buyer acknowledges and agrees to all terms stated above. The buyer confirms understanding that the deposit is used to secure a kitten and is non-refundable under buyer-initiated cancellation.
